WELCOME FROM THE PRESIDENT
On behalf of the Cleveland Area Golden Gloves Inc., its Board of Directors, participating boxing clubs, participants and many volunteers, I welcome you to the 2009 Annual Golden Gloves Boxing Tournament. It is with great pride that the Cleveland Area Golden Gloves serves as hosts of this great event.
The Annual Golden Gloves Tournament showcases the area’s top amateur boxers whose ambitions, dedication and hard work have led them to showcase their talents in a long tradition of Golden Gloves excellence here in Cleveland. It is with that in mind that all who participate in this event are considered true winners regardless of the outcome.
It is important to remember that sportsmanship is a key ingredient in making this event successful. We also want to show our appreciation to those who make this event happen from the boxers, to the officials, the even volunteers and to the fans.
I would like to wish all of our participants, coaches and families the best of luck in their endeavors and hope their goals are fulfilled. I would also like to thank all who helped put this event together. Without the help from our Board, sponsors, volunteers and of course the fans, none of this would be possible.
